It's definitely worth the 20-minute drive to Fly Creek Cider Mill & Orchard from Hampton Inn Oneonta. The historic 19th century water-powered mill is renowned for its fresh-pressed cider. Take a tour and then stop  into the Mill Store Marketplace where you can taste dozens of specialty food items like preserves, hot sauces, salsa, and fudge.  Don't forget to sample the apple wines and hard ciders from the Farm Winery.

    There sure is. Next to the Mill is a restored barn where you’ll find a wide selection of yummy food, including soups, sandwiches, chili, fresh baked goods, and ice cream. There’s seating at the counter inside or you can go the outdoor route and grab one of the picnic tables. Be advised that you're not allowed to bring your own food.
  • What areas of the Mill are open for tours?

    The whole place is yours to explore. There are no tour guides so you'll be able to experience Fly Creek Cider Mill as quickly or deliberately as you wish. One of the highlights is the Cider Gallery, which features the "Power, Process and Popularity" exhibit. You'll get an inside look at the equipment that keeps the Mill running plus you'll learn how apple cider is created.
