National Baseball Hall of Fame

Since opening in 1939, the National Baseball Hall of Fame has been honoring the greats who have graced the fields of America's pastime. Located about 20 miles from Hampton Inn Oneonta in Cooperstown,  the Museum is the place to come to explore baseball history via interactive displays, artifacts, and videos. Permanent exhibits include "Babe Ruth: His Life and Legend," "Diamond Dreams: Women in Baseball," and "Pride and Passion: The African-American Baseball Experience."

FAQs

  • How long does it take to visit the Museum?

    It all depends on how much you want to see. Since visits are of the self-guided variety, you'll be able to move from floor to floor at your own pace. You can spend anywhere from a couple of hours to an entire weekend. Once you've paid your admission, you can come and go as many times as you like on the same day.
  • Are there any restaurants onsite?

    There are no restaurants at the National Baseball Hall of Fame. However, you will find several family-friendly eateries just a few blocks away. Please be advised that you are not allowed to bring any food or drinks into the Museum.
